PowerHouse

This was my second attempt at the Powerhouse. It's such an interesting building that I could draw it many times from many different angles. It was a beautiful day out when I drew this, and I actually enjoyed the sun. Usually, I constantly seek shade when I'm out drawing.

Weekly Sketchcrawl

Went to the weekly sketchcrawl again this morning. Started out on the steps near the Carl Stokes U.S. Courthouse, and was serenaded by the rapid bells every few minutes while I drew a building down by the drawbridge. A security guard checked on me while I was there (he was probably bored, because there seems to be no one around there on a Sunday morning).

Then, moved to the east bank of the flats where, we settled in to sketch across the river on the west bank of the flats where lovers walk along the river, smelling the unique "fragrance" of the water. We did enjoy watching he mightiest tugboat pull some giant Canadian boat around the crooked turns of the river, as it blocked our view for about 15 minutes.

Cleveland Sketchcrawl

I got to the sketchcrawl 15 minutes late, because my tai chi class ended at 9:45. And, I couldn't find the group anywhere around the west side of the flats. After looking for probably 2 minutes, I just settled in with the seagulls, and started to draw. It was nice that once I got into something, I didn't have to get up and move on with the group to a second location.

I was in the nice warm sun near the river, even had a picnic table to set up at.
