Mardi Gras Lemur
With Mardi Gras slipping up on us fast, it seemed appropriate that Louie would celebrate. Though, he does seem a little confused over the whole bead thing.

Introducing Louie
Here, meet Louie the intrepid and curious ring-tailed lemur (lemur catta).
This is a rough sketch, but it gives me an idea of this idea of mine would work.
Any comments are very much appreciated.

Blurry Lemur
This is a very blurry scan, but I just wanted to post something through the new version of AOL that took almost all day to download (by dial-up). Just wanted to see if this version was better than the old version (which kept crashing).
I should be up with access through my cable soon, but they cancelled on Friday when they were supposed to come.
Next Step Helicopters
The next step to my project with the lemurs is drawing helicopters. This is more daunting than it seems, because I need something that looks like a model, but can accommodate a lemur.
I finally realized that if I opened Internet Explorer, instead of relying on AOL for my internet, that everything works.
I should be able to download a new version of AOL this weekend, and hopefully it all works then. It's obvious that they're the problem with my latest technical difficulties. I haven't even been able to use AOL to download a new version, as it would just crash in on itself. I thought it was the computer itself, but now I doubt that. Which is good, because I didn't want to get a new one anytime soon.

Rush Hour
I do love little toys like this. This is a set up of the Rush Hour game. Some of the puzzles are quite hard.
I did mess up a bit on the perspective of the little squares andone of the trucks, but otherwise, I like the style of it.

New Year Lemur
I'm fnally getting around to posting some of the sketches I've done the last few weeks.
This lemur just looked as though he was ready to leap into the new year.

Lemur, Lemur, Lemur
Yes, more lemurs. This trio was from before Christmas. Just hadn't had a chance to post them up here (like a bunch of others).
I dropped my Year of the Rat design off at the St. Clair/Superior office last week. Not sure if it'll make the first cut or not. Should know sometime in February.

Sunday Breakfast
For $4.26, I got a great breakfast at Whole Foods, and a lot of quiet time to sketch before they got busy.
Can't see a whole lot from the cafe, so I took the opportunity to do a few little sketches.

January Sketchcrawl
The monthly sketchcrawl (for more info, see their blog in the "Special Links" area to the right) has come and gone. It was cold, but not unbearably so. We went to the BP Tower lobby to draw; got there right as the Christmas decorations were coming down. I went up to the 2nd level and drew looking down on he greenery and tree. I'm working faster, as I got a lot of it drawn and colored. I was just starting to ink it when it was time to move on.
The 2nd stop was the Soldiers & Sailrors monument. Drew another of the stained glass windows.

Keep It Going
I don't understand the mentality of ripping Christmas decorations down the day after the first of the year. I'm more than happy to leave them up and light them up until the end of January.
I don't care what anyone thinks. I enjoy them. I'd leave them up all year, if only I didn't have to dust them.

Let's Try This Again
Finally found a loophole around my technical difficulties. Loaded the photo up into imageshack, and now her you go.
It's progressed a little bit since this incarnation, but you can se the basic idea of how it looks now. I've grayed-out the piece of wall to the upper right, because it just seemed to yell, "YELLOW WALL" at me.
Uploading Issues
I'm having uploading issues through blogger today. I tried to upload an update of the "Double A" painting, but everytime I try, it crashes my browser.
We'll see if this problem persists. I know that the computer here is dying, but I was hoping to get it to last through the end of spring.
