And why am I just an after thought in this post? I remember going there for records and tapes, too. Bought my first full length cassette there. Still remember agonizing over getting Lionel Ritchie's Cant Slow Down and Wham's Make it Big. I remember mom steering me toward Lionel Ritchie. :-)
I think you answered your own question there, sis. I wasn't in your story where you were picking out your first cassette, was I? Which one did you settle on, or have you not made a decision yet? I can see why she'd steer you toward Lionel Ritchie, because she probably knew him from the Commodores.
